Outside Sales Representative All American Truck & Trailer RepairAbout Us All American Truck & Trailer Repair is a thriving heavy-duty truck and trailer repair operation with a strong regional reputation and an aggressive growth trajectory. We are expanding our reach and seeking a driven, results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to accelerate that growth — including contract fleet accounts, mobile/service truck expansion, and increased shop utilization. Position Overview The Outside Sales Representative will serve as the face of All American Truck & Trailer Repair in the field. This individual will be responsible for prospecting, building relationships, and closing contracts with carriers, fleet operators, owner-operators, and logistics companies. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, knowledgeable about the trucking industry, and has a proven ability to open doors and grow revenue. Key Responsibilities Contract Development — Identify and secure long-term service agreements with regional and national carriers, trucking companies, and fleet managers for scheduled maintenance, DOT inspections, and repair work. Service Truck Business Expansion — Actively market and grow our mobile/roadside service truck capabilities to carriers and operators who need on-site or emergency repair services. Shop Traffic Growth — Develop and execute strategies to drive increased volume to our shop, with a specific focus on maximizing weekend capacity to reduce fleet downtime. Account Management — Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts; identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across all service lines. Prospecting & Cold Outreach — Conduct regular field visits, cold calls, and attend industry events, truck stops, terminals, and freight hubs to generate new leads. Market Intelligence — Stay current on competitor pricing, industry trends, and customer needs; provide feedback to shop management to improve service offerings. Reporting — Track all sales activity, pipeline, and account performance; provide regular updates to ownership.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 2-3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in transportation, fleet services, automotive/diesel repair, or a related industry Strong understanding of the trucking and carrier industry (CDL knowledge, DOT regulations, and fleet maintenance cycles are a plus) Proven track record of prospecting, closing contracts, and growing a book of business Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a territory Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Proficiency with CRM tools, email, and basic reportingPreferred:
Existing relationships with carriers, fleet managers, or logistics companies in the region Experience selling service contracts or maintenance agreements Background in heavy-duty truck/trailer repair or partsCompensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$45,000 - $55,000 depending on experienceCommission:
5-8% on new account revenue generated; residual commission on retained contract accounts On-Target Earnings (OTE): $75,000 - $95,000+ annually Performance Bonuses for hitting quarterly growth milestones Uncapped commission potential as your book of business grows Clear path to a senior sales or Sales Manager role as the team expands What Success Looks Like Within the first 6-12 months, the right candidate will have secured a strong portfolio of carrier and fleet service contracts, established a consistent pipeline of new business, and become a recognized representative of All American Truck & Trailer Repair in the regional trucking community.
