Job Description

Position Overview Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery (SVPC) has been a trusted leader in pet aftercare services since 1955, known for our integrity, reliability, and exceptional service standards. We are seeking a high-performing Outside Sales Representative to drive corporate-level B2B growth within the veterinary industry . This role is focused on converting multi-location veterinary groups to standardize on SVPC's aftercare services. This is not a transactional sales role. Success requires a strategic "hunter" mindset , the ability to navigate corporate decision-making structures , and the discipline to focus on top-down selling strategies rather than individual clinic outreach. What You'll Do 1. Strategic Business Development (Top-Down Sales) Identify and target corporate veterinary groups with multiple locations Develop and execute a territory strategy focused on high-value accounts Engage decision-makers at the regional and corporate level 2. Relationship Building & Influence Build trust with executives, regional managers, and key stakeholders Position SVPC as a premium, reliable partner—not a price-based vendor Navigate complex organizations and align multiple stakeholders 3. Opportunity Generation & Qualification Focus on qualified, decision-maker-driven opportunities Avoid low-value activities and non-decision-maker engagement Maintain a disciplined pipeline of high-probability deals 4. Consultative Selling & Closing Understand client operational needs and aftercare workflows Communicate SVPC's value: consistency, integrity, and service excellence Close business with professionalism and long-term relationship focus 5. Independent Execution Operate autonomously with minimal oversight Manage your territory, time, and sales strategy effectively Provide concise, high-quality updates to leadership What Success Looks Like Conversion of multi-location veterinary groups to SVPC services Strong revenue growth within assigned territory Consistent execution of a focused, high-value sales strategy Ability to win corporate-level decisions , not just individual locations Requirements Experience & Track Record Proven success in B2B outside sales , ideally selling into multi-location or corporate accounts Demonstrated ability to close complex deals and navigate decision hierarchies Strong references validating past quota achievement and sales performance Sales Approach & Mindset Ability to present a clear, credible go-to-market strategy for this role True "hunter" mentality with a focus on results, not activity High level of self-motivation and accountability Work Style Comfortable working independently in a field-based role Strong judgment on when to seek support vs. act decisively Willingness and understanding of performance-based compensation
Compensation & Benefits Earning Potential:
$100,000 - $200,000+ annually
Compensation Structure:
Base salary 20% commission on net revenue (first 12 months of each account)
