West Warwick, RI (Hybrid- 3-4 days onsite) Position Summary We are seeking a Product Specialist to support inside sales and customer engagement activities for a technical manufacturing organization.
This role is responsible for handling customer inquiries, preparing quotations, supporting order processing, and assisting with general sales operations. The position is designed for an early-career sales professional with strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and experience working in customer-facing or sales support roles within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary internal contact for customer inquiries and product-related questions Prepare accurate quotes, including pricing support and basic configuration guidance Manage inbound leads, follow-ups, and CRM data updates Support the sales team with documentation, proposals, and customer communications Qualify leads and route opportunities to appropriate sales channels Assist with order processing by coordinating with internal departments to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment Maintain accurate CRM records including contacts, opportunities, and pipeline updates Track open quotes and follow up to support conversion rates Provide basic product information and escalate technical issues when needed Support marketing activities such as email campaigns, trade shows, and promotional efforts Assist in coordinating product demonstrations and maintaining demo equipment tracking Gather customer feedback and market insights to support business development Assist in developing customer-facing materials such as presentations and product documents Collaborate with internal and external partners as needed Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor's degree preferred 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, technical support, or sales support Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn complex product lines Preferred Experience Experience in technical manufacturing or industrial sales support environments Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce or similar systems) Basic understanding of engineering or technical concepts (electrical, mechanical, or industrial) Exposure to manufacturing, distribution, or technical product environments Physical & Work Environment Primarily office-based role with occasional light lifting (up to 30 lbs for demo materials) Minimal travel required (0-10%) Regular use of standard office equipment and computer systems #CNX200
