Full Job Description Overview Mission:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and securing orders for the company's products through a relationship-based approach, effective territory management, and frequent in-person visits to customer locations. This position involves extensive travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers to promote and sell company products. Provide tailored product recommendations to customers based on their needs. Prepare and submit orders in accordance with company policies and pricing guidelines. Establish new customer accounts and expand the client base. Schedule and execute daily customer visits, prioritizing in-person interactions. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, complemented by phone and email communications. Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and uncover additional sales opportunities. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive experience. Keep customers informed of product updates, changes, and new releases. Prepare and submit regular activity reports to management. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to provide insights and recommendations. Investigate and resolve customer complaints, develop solutions, and make recommendations for improvement. Participate in trade shows and industry conventions to represent the company and generate leads. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales performance. Track and manage expenses, submitting reimbursement requests per company guidelines. Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Competencies:

Excellent verbal and written communication. Effective in-person presentation and group communication skills.

Proficient in computer systems and software relevant to the role.

Quantitative and Analytical Skills:
Comfortable with mathematical concepts such as percentages, ratios, and basic calculations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; or 2-4 years of relevant experience in sales or customer service. Proven ability to work independently while achieving sales goals. Ability to travel extensively and provide reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear. Must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Extensive travel required.
Benefits:
Compensation Range (Including Base Salary + commissions): $70,000 - $90,000 per year (Additional commission and bonus opportunities).
