Job Description

Sales Representative Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative located in the Pacific Northwest or West Coast, to join the leadership team at our lumber remanufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for driving new revenue growth across our core product lines, identifying and recommending new product opportunities based on market demand, and coordinating transportation logistics for newly secured business. While the primary focus of this role is expanding sales of our core remanufactured lumber products, the position also includes developing business for pallets, crates, and residual materials if needed. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who operates with initiative, understands market dynamics within the wood products industry, and communicates effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive new revenue growth by identifying, prospecting, and closing business across core remanufactured lumber products, as well as pallets, crates, and residual materials as needed. Develop and execute a structured sales pipeline, including lead generation, qualification, quoting, negotiation, and contract executions. Analyze market trends, customer demand, and competitive positioning to recommend new product opportunities and pricing strategies. Collaborate with operations and production teams to align sales commitments with manufacturing capacity, inventory levels, and production schedules. Coordinate transportation and logistics for new sales, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery to customers. Prepare accurate quotes, sales forecasts, and margin analyses to support leadership decision-making. Represent the company at industry events and customer site visits to strengthen market presence as needed. Maintain CRM records and ensure timely reporting of sales activity, pipeline status, and performance results.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Forestry, Wood Products, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be strongly considered 5+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably within lumber, wood products, building materials, manufacturing, or industrial distribution Demonstrated success generating new business and growing revenue in a B2B environment Proven ability to manage a full sales cycle from prospecting through close Valid driver's license and ability to travel for customer visits and industry events as needed Ability to analyze pricing, gross margin, freight impact, and contribution margin Working knowledge of lumber grades, specifications, and common industry terminology Ability to interpret production schedules, inventory reports, and transportation costs to align sales commitments with operational capacity Excellent negotiation and contract management skills High level of organization and discipline in pipeline management and forecasting Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and sales reporting tools Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal Self-directed, results-oriented mindset with the ability to operate effectively within a cross-functional leadership team
Work Environment:
Fully remote position with minimal travel requirements. Must be willing to attend weekly sales meeting with Pacific Firs management. About the

$60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
