9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (2 floating remote days per month) Summary A premier, specialized global trading corporation is seeking a meticulous, highly experienced Japanese Bilingual Sales Support Specialist. This vital role is designed for a detail-oriented professional with an extensive background in international trade operations who will serve as the organizational backbone of a high-volume commercial sales desk. The ideal candidate possesses an unwavering commitment to operational accuracy and a deep understanding of global supply chain logistics. Acting as the primary, seamless link between domestic clients, US sales executives, and suppliers in Japan, this individual must possess native-level Japanese fluency and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-market administrative workflows. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to Process complex purchase orders, track global shipments, and coordinate seamlessly with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouses to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and technical components. Apply expert knowledge of international trade regulations and Incoterms (e.g., FOB, CIF, DDP) to verify shipping documentation, manage commercial invoices, and resolve supply chain discrepancies swiftly. Manage daily business communications and coordinate logistics pipelines directly with manufacturing plants, suppliers, and executive headquarters in Japan. Provide high-level administrative support to the Business Development team, including preparing comprehensive commercial quotations, tracking client inventory levels, and managing sample evaluations. Maintain flawless records of trading transactions, customer accounts, and compliance documentation within corporate systems, ensuring absolute precision and no operational gaps. Field inquiries from existing clients and global vendors, handling routine service requests and logistics tracking with exceptional professionalism and cross-cultural etiquette. Qualifications 5+ years in international trade coordination, sales support, or logistics within a trading house or import/export environment. Native-level fluency in Japanese (both written and spoken) is strictly required to effectively navigate daily communication, technical specifications, and business relationships with Japan. Fluency in professional English is equally mandatory. Thorough, practical understanding of international shipping procedures, customs documentation, and global Incoterms. An exceptional track record of organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and a methodology that consistently prevents administrative errors. Advanced capability within Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel for tracking data, Outlook, and Word) and SAP or similar software. The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
