Waste Collection Resolve (WCR) is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated Sales Associate to support the growth of our waste collection, recycling, dumpster rental, and environmental service operations throughout Baltimore and the surrounding areas. This position is ideal for an experienced sales professional, preferably with prior experience in the waste management, environmental services, recycling, transportation, logistics, or commercial services industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing relationships with commercial clients, conducting in-person sales visits, and helping expand our customer base. We are looking for someone who can work independently, confidently represent our company, and leverage their industry knowledge to identify and close new business opportunities. This position serves as a developmental pathway into a Business Development Representative role for candidates who demonstrate strong sales performance, leadership potential, and a commitment to company growth. Two-Week Probationary Assessment Period All newly hired Sales Associates will complete a two-week probationary period designed to evaluate their ability to: Generate qualified leads Identify and engage potential clients Navigate company software and CRM systems Implement company sales processes and systems Conduct prospecting activities independently Follow reporting requirements Demonstrate professionalism and customer service skills Represent the company effectively in the field Successful completion of the probationary period is required for continued employment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prospect and generate new commercial customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, door-to-door visits, and relationship building Promote and sell WCR services, including:
- Commercial Waste Collection
- Dumpster Rental Services
- Recycling Services
- Environmental and Sustainability Programs Target restaurants, retail businesses, office buildings, industrial facilities, property managers, contractors, and other commercial accounts Schedule and conduct in-person client meetings Prepare and present proposals, service agreements, and pricing options Identify opportunities for additional services and vendor add-ons Negotiate and close new business opportunities Maintain detailed records within company CRM and sales software systems Follow up with prospects and current customers to ensure satisfaction and retention Attend company meetings, training sessions, and sales strategy discussions Collaborate with management regarding market opportunities and customer needs Provide weekly sales activity and pipeline reports.
Q ualifications Minimum 2 years of sales experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Professional appearance and demeanor Strong organizational and time-management skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to travel throughout Baltimore and surrounding counties Experience with UCO.
Preferred:
Previous waste management industry experience Experience selling waste, recycling, dumpster, hauling, environmental, fuel, logistics, or commercial services Experience with B2B sales and account management Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking software Experience conducting outside sales and territory development Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals .
