Wood Coatings Sales/Specialist OnPace Finishing Solutions Oregon City, OR Job Details Full-time From $60,000 a year 2 days ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Company car Paid time off Cell phone reimbursement 401(k) 5% Match 401(k) matching Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Wood Coatings Specialist / Outside Sales - Oregon City, OR B2B Coatings & Supply Warehouse | Base + Commission | Full Benefits We're looking for a wood coatings specialist who can help us grow the business. Our current specialist is relocating out of state after several years with us, we need someone who knows wood finishing, takes care of customers, and has the drive to go find new business. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position based out of our Oregon City warehouse. You'll have your own office and will split your time between the shop and the field. Sales territory covers primarily Oregon and SW Washington. Pay & Benefits
  • $60,000 base salary
  • 3% commission on wood coatings sales above $30,000
  • Company vehicle provided, or mileage reimbursement if you prefer to use your own
  • 401(k) with company match after 90 days
  • Health insurance stipend What You'll Be Doing
  • Color matching with a spectrophotometer
  • Transparent stain matching
  • Advising customers on product selection, surface prep, application methods, and equipment
  • Managing wood coatings inventory and placing monthly replenishment orders based on customer needs
  • Vendor managed inventory visits at customer locations
  • Prospecting and developing new accounts — cabinet shops, millwork, furniture manufacturers, flooring contractors and similar trades
  • Regular in-person visits with existing customers to maintain and grow those relationships
  • Product demos and hands-on training for customers and their crews
  • Following up on leads, quotes, and samples What We're Looking For
  • Solid background in wood coatings including stains, sealers, topcoats, lacquers, conversion varnishes, and waterbased finishes
  • Experience with color matching equipment, spectrophotometer experience preferred but not required
  • Outside sales experience with results to back it up
  • Someone who can go find new business and still treat existing customers right
  • Strong communication skills when talking to trades professionals
  • Organized and able to manage your own schedule in the field
