Job Description
Outside Sales Representative
- Job Overview In the equipment transportation industry, success is built on more than delivering quality service—it is earned through strong relationships, deep industry knowledge, and trust.
- Experience in outside sales (transportation industry preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-driven mindset with a desire to grow business opportunities
- Ability to understand, adopt, and clearly communicate Mangum's business model
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and mobile tools
- Knowledge of the local construction or transportation market is a plus Core Responsibilities
- Actively develop new business through consistent in-person customer visits
- Clearly communicate Mangum's approach, capabilities, and value to prospective customers
- Strengthen and grow relationships with existing accounts
- Identify opportunities to expand services within current customers
- Collaborate with operations and inside sales teams Customer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for Mangum's services and processes
- Set clear expectations with customers
- Assist with onboarding new accounts
- Maintain a professional presence Operations & Support
- Work closely with internal teams
- Demonstrate knowledge of transportation regulations
- Support company goals and initiatives
- Assist with resolving issues Day-to-Day Expectations
- Stay active in the field with regular visits to customers
- Develop a deeper understanding of Mangum's business model
- Communicate Mangum's services confidently
- Follow up on leads
- Maintain strong communication with management
- Monitor account activity and performance
- Assist with account reviews and collections
