Saffron Cafe & Bakery is a premium artisan bakery crafting handmade breads, pastries, and specialty baked goods. With a commitment to quality ingredients and scratch-made recipes, we supply wholesale accounts and are rapidly expanding our footprint across the food service and hospitality market. We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused sales professional to bring Saffron products to restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, and catering operations. ROLE OVERVIEW
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for building and growing Saffron's wholesale food service account base. You will prospect, pitch, and close new accounts — primarily restaurants, cafes, and coffee shops — and manage ongoing relationships to drive reorder volume, expand product placement, and grow revenue. This is a field-first role:
you'll spend most of your time meeting buyers, dropping samples, and building partnerships face to face. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospect and develop new accounts within the restaurant, cafe, and coffee shop segments through cold outreach, networking, and referrals Conduct in-person meetings with chefs, owners, and purchasing managers to present Saffron products, drop samples, and close initial orders Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts to ensure reorder consistency, product satisfaction, and revenue growth Identify and pitch placement opportunities for new SKUs within existing accounts — croissants, breads, pastries, seasonal items, and custom orders Maintain an organized CRM pipeline with accurate account activity, follow-up schedules, and opportunity stages Coordinate with the bakery operations team (logistics and customer service) to ensure smooth order fulfillment and delivery for your accounts Represent Saffron at local food industry events, farmers markets, and trade shows to generate leads and build brand visibility Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for new account acquisition, revenue, and product volume Provide market feedback to leadership on buyer preferences, competitive products, and pricing trends QUALIFICATIONS
Required Saffron Cafe & Bakery • Confidential Page 1 2+ years of outside sales, territory sales, or B2B sales experience Proven track record of prospecting and closing new accounts Strong interpersonal skills — comfortable walking into a restaurant kitchen or coffee shop and building rapport quickly Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule and pipeline independently Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for field travel Proficiency with CRM software or willingness to learn Preferred Prior experience selling food, beverage, or specialty grocery products to hospitality accounts Existing relationships with restaurant owners, cafe buyers, or coffee shop operators in the region Familiarity with wholesale food service pricing, margins, and distribution logistics Passion for food — genuine enthusiasm for artisan baked goods is a plus COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
