Job Description
- Southeast Territory Position Summary The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and developing customer relationships throughout the Southeast Territory.
- Manage and grow an assigned Southeast Territory, including (but not limited to) the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, and surrounding areas
- Develop new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers
- Conduct in-person visits, virtual meetings, and regular communication to drive engagement and close sales
- Take full ownership of territory sales performance and customer development Customer Engagement & Solutions
- Identify customer needs and recommend solutions related to fastening, assembly, and automation applications
- Collaborate with customers to improve processes, efficiency, and product performance
- Support new product development initiatives by identifying opportunities and guiding projects through implementation
- Perform basic equipment or application support, including light machine maintenance during customer visits when needed Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams to deliver effective solutions
- Coordinate joint sales calls, technical support, pricing, and delivery timelines
- Communicate customer feedback and market insights internally to improve service and product offerings Market Awareness & Relationship Building
- Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and supply conditions to advise customers effectively
- Maintain strong customer relationships to generate repeat business and referrals
- Monitor industry developments through trade publications and ongoing learning Reporting & Sales Operations
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and expense reporting
- Participate in sales meetings, conferences, and trade shows, including booth setup and representation
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and financial guidelines related to sales activities Travel Requirements
- Approximately 40% travel required, including both driving and air travel based on customer needs
- Must maintain reliable transportation and a driving record acceptable to company insurance standards
- When not traveling, regular presence in the Fort Mill office is expected Qualifications & Attributes
