This is not a retail sales position. Our Design Specialists meet directly with homeowners, provide customized solutions, and guide customers through the decision-making process from consultation to commitment. Position Overview As a Window Design Specialist, you will meet with pre-qualified homeowners to conduct in-home consultations, assess project needs, present customized window solutions, and help customers select the best products and financing options for their home. Your success will be measured by your ability to run appointments, deliver professional presentations, close sales, and generate revenue. Success in this role comes down to four key metrics: Leads. Shows. Closes. Revenue. Compensation Structure Commission-only compensation Earn 7
  • 10% commission on closed revenue Commission paid after installation and collection Uncapped earning potential Earnings Potential Tier 1: Approximately $60,000
  • 80,000 annually Tier 2: Approximately $100,000
  • 150,000 annually Tier 3: $180,000+ annually Performance ExpectationsMinimum Standards (Tier 1) Run at least 8 appointments per week Maintain a 70%+ show rate Maintain a 25% close rate Generate approximately $20,000 in weekly revenue Close approximately 2 deals per week Maintain a minimum $10,000 average ticket Achieve 25% financing utilization Tier 2
  • Solid Performer 12-15 appointments run per week 75%+ show rate 30% close rate $40,000
  • 50,000 weekly revenue 4-5 deals per week $10,000+ average ticket 35%+ financing utilization Tier 3
  • Elite Performer 18-20 appointments run per week 80%+ show rate 35%+ close rate $60,000+ weekly revenue 6+ deals per week $10,000+ average ticket 40%+ financing utilization Responsibilities Conduct in-home window and exterior remodeling consultations Build rapport and establish trust with homeowners Assess customer needs and design customized solutions Present product options, pricing, financing, and project recommendations Ask for the sale and confidently guide customers through the buying process Follow up consistently on open opportunities Maintain detailed and accurate notes within the company CRM Keep all opportunities updated throughout the sales cycle Generate and deliver same-day proposals whenever possible Present financing options on every appointment Collect customer reviews and referrals when appropriate Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistent follow-up schedule Non-Negotiable Expectations All assigned appointments must be run—no cherry-picking leads All jobs must be entered and updated in the field Same-day proposal delivery is expected Financing options must be presented on every opportunity Professional representation of the Glass Brothers brand at all times Core Performance Metrics The following KPIs are tracked weekly: Leads assigned Appointments set Appointments run Show rate Close rate Revenue sold Average ticket value Financing utilization 5-star reviews (goal: 3+ per month) Qualifications Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Sales experience preferred, particularly in home improvement, remodeling, windows, roofing, or in-home sales Ability to build trust quickly with homeowners Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven Comfortable working evenings and weekends as needed Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow-up activities simultaneously Coachable with a growth-oriented mindset Advancement Opportunities Glass Brothers believes in promoting high performers and developing future leaders.
Promotion Track 4 consecutive weeks at Tier 2 performance = Senior Design Specialist eligibility 3+ consecutive weeks at Tier 3 performance = Team Lead eligibility Consistency drives promotion. Missed appointments, poor CRM management, and lack of follow-up directly impact performance and are tracked accordingly. Performance reviews are conducted regularly, and individuals who consistently perform below minimum standards may be subject to corrective action.
