EDC INTERN

Under general supervision of the Executive Director of Economic Development, the Economic Development Intern will assist staff at the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) in the attraction, retention, expansion, and marketing of businesses located within the City of Celina. Assist EDC Staff with data entry for Celina Business Directory software and business attraction CRM. Assist EDC Staff with social media outreach including basic graphic design and post scheduling. Serve as a primary point of contact for Economic Development visitors, providing excellent customer service to guests. Exercise a high level of discretion and confidentiality while working on projects that involve sensitive business information. Help prepare agenda packets and board meeting materials for monthly EDC Regular Board Meetings. Work with other municipal departments and City stakeholders, including planning and zoning, code compliance, elected officials, and business owners. Administrative tasks and other duties as assigned. The candidate must be enrolled in or a recent graduate of an accredited college/university majoring/majored in business or public administration, marketing, or a related program. Availability to begin work May 1 st , 2026. Must pass all relevant pre-employment screening/tests/examinations. Must possess State of Texas Driver's License or be able to acquire within a reasonable time. Work is performed in an office setting. May be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor. May be subject to extended periods of mental concentration, research and analysis. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling and lifting such as retrieving or replacing files and records, and setting up for meetings and special events.
