Compensation will be based on the net profit generated from customers, shipments, or freight forwarding business brought by the candidate . Commission may range from 25% to 35% of net profit , depending on experience, customer ownership, and level of involvement in the shipment process. A small monthly retainer may be considered for the right candidate with strong ocean freight forwarding experience, existing customer relationships, or the ability to help guide the company in building its ocean freight division. Commission will be paid only after customer payment is received and shipment profit is finalized. Job Description Lalani Global Ventures LLC is looking for an experienced Ocean Freight Forwarding Sales Representative / Business Development Consultant to help develop our ocean freight forwarding business in the U.S. market. The company also has an existing freight forwarding/logistics setup in Pakistan , which may support international trade lanes, overseas coordination, agent communication, and future import/export business development between the U.S., Pakistan, and other global markets. We are seeking someone with experience in international shipping, ocean freight, freight forwarding, NVOCC, co-loader relationships, carrier coordination, and customer development. This role is ideal for someone who already has industry experience, customer contacts, or the ability to bring new business in import/export ocean freight. Responsibilities Develop new ocean freight forwarding customers and business opportunities. Bring import/export shipping customers, agents, or trade-lane opportunities. Assist with ocean freight quotations, customer communication, and rate coordination. Help build relationships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, co-loaders, customs brokers, truckers, warehouses, and overseas agents. Coordinate with overseas agents and the company's existing Pakistan-based freight/logistics network when needed. Support the company in understanding ocean freight forwarding operations, documentation, and business flow. Assist with SOPs, pricing strategy, and shipment coordination when needed. Help develop the company's ocean freight forwarding division from the ground up. Requirements Ocean freight forwarding, NVOCC, logistics, or international shipping experience preferred. Existing customer base or industry contacts strongly preferred. Knowledge of import/export ocean freight procedures. Understanding of rates, bookings, bills of lading, co-loaders, overseas agents, and carrier communication. Ability to generate new business and work independently. Good communication and customer relationship skills. Experience with U.S., Pakistan, Middle East, India, China, or international trade lanes is a plus. Preferred Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who has worked in freight forwarding, NVOCC, shipping line, logistics sales, or international trade and can help bring customers, develop trade lanes, coordinate with overseas agents, or guide a new ocean freight forwarding business.
