  • Full-time Holiday Inn Express Del Rio is hiring for a Hotel Sales and Marketing Coordinator!
Sales & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for Assisting Regional Director of Sales and Chief Operating Officer in designing, developing and executing site inspections, proposals, and contracts to secure group, leisure, corporate and conference business. Assist in booking guestrooms for clients and preparation for their arrival. Ensure that office procedures and duties are carried out (which includes but not limited to assigning leads, answering telephone inquiries, conducting sales prospecting phone calls). Work closely with hotel General Managers, Front Office Managers and hotel staff to ensure smooth and efficient transition between sales & operations. Uphold brand standards and serve as the brand ambassador for the hotel. Must have thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, and closing. Must be proficient in Microsoft applications: Word, Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint. Communication and organizational skills are of utmost importance for this position.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education & Experience:
At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience in a specific market. Must have a driver's license in the applicable state.
Physical Requirements:

Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. Job Description Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests. Must be able to work and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
Essential:
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, and service-oriented manner. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with QPM Hotels standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance w i t h Q P M H o t e l s dress code and wearing a nametag when working. Comply at all times with QPM Hotels standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times. Develop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel. Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOPs and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies. Meet or exceed set goals. Initiate and follow up on leads. Target results-oriented high revenue potential sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program in accordance with goals established by hotel budget and marketing plan. Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market. Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned. Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours, and site inspections. Develop strong customer relationships through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction. Assist in the preparation of quarterly sales action plans and annual budget. Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the property. Maintain well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management system in order to serve client and employer in the most organized and knowledgeable manner. Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associates, activities, and events. Attend all-employee meetings and any other functions required by management. Review Meeting Broker and Hotel Planner to follow up daily on leads. Perform any other duties as requested by the Regional Director of Sales and Chief Operating Officer.
Acknowledgements:
The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times.
