Job Description
Summary/Objective We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the logistics industry, with a strong focus on selling logistics services including Customs Brokerage, Ocean Freight, Air Freight, Road Freight, Warehousing, and Cross Border Services. This role will be responsible for driving sales growth, building and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the expansion of our customer base within the region.
Essential Functions Sales & Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generating sales and expanding the customer portfolio within the logistics sector.Client Management:
Establish and nurture long-term relationships with both existing and potential clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.Product Knowledge:
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the logistics services offered by the company, including Customs Brokerage, Ocean Freight, Air Freight, Road Freight, Warehousing, and Cross Border Services.Solution Selling:
Consult with clients to understand their logistics needs, providing tailored solutions that optimize their supply chain operations and improve efficiency.Market Research:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to effectively position the company's offerings and create competitive advantages.Negotiation & Proposal Management:
Lead negotiations and prepare compelling proposals that align with clients' requirements and business goals.Sales Targets & Reporting:
Meet or exceed assigned sales targets, regularly reporting on sales performance, forecasting, and pipeline development to senior management.Collaboration:
Work closely with operations, customer service, and other teams to ensure smooth execution of client orders and to meet delivery timelines.Cross-Border Expertise:
Leverage knowledge of cross-border logistics to assist clients in navigating international shipping challenges and compliance. Competencies Integrity. Attention to Detail. Leadership. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position (Salary- EXEMPT). Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Occasionally. Required Education and Experience At least of experience in sales or business development within the logistics and supply chain industry. A degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory. Proven track record of selling logistics services such as Customs Brokerage, Ocean Freight, Air Freight, Road Freight, Warehousing, and Cross Border Services. Strong understanding of logistics operations and the ability to offer tailored solutions to meet customer needs. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales objectives. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (Salesforce or similar). Strong networking skills and a robust client base in the logistics sector are advantageous. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and closing sales.
