This role is responsible for managing customer communications, preparing quotes, following up on sales opportunities, and coordinating closely with estimating, engineering, production, and accounting teams. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess strong communication, organizational, and computer skills. Previous experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial sales is highly preferred. Responsibilities Build and maintain strong customer relationships through phone, email, and in-person communication Prepare and follow up on customer quotes in a timely manner Coordinate with estimating, engineering, and production teams to ensure quote accuracy and order feasibility Assist customers with order status updates, lead times, pricing, and product information Support new business development and customer retention efforts Process customer purchase orders and assist with order entry as needed Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and communications within company systems Work closely with operations and accounting teams to help resolve customer concerns, invoicing issues, and scheduling updates Assist with customer visits, facility tours, and sales meetings when needed Represent Smart Laser & Manufacturing in a professional and customer-focused manner at all times QualificationsRequired High school diploma or GED Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage spreadsheets, customer data, quoting information, and sales documentation efficiently Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and follow-through Preferred Previous inside sales experience in manufacturing or industrial environments Experience in metal fabrication, laser cutting, machining, welding, or related industries Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing workflows Ability to read and interpret basic manufacturing drawings or prints

Pay:

$40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
