00 per hour Uncapped commission Additional hours may be available during peak periods About the Role Doriva Local Art Source is seeking an outgoing, motivated salesperson who enjoys working with people. This is a sales-focused position. Every visitor is a potential customer, and your primary responsibility is to engage shoppers, build relationships, recommend artwork, and close sales. We are willing to train the right person. Previous art gallery experience is not required—we will teach you about the artwork, artists, and gallery services. What matters most is your ability to connect with customers and help them make purchasing decisions. Responsibilities Greet and engage gallery visitors Build rapport and identify customer needs Recommend artwork and guide customers through the purchasing process Meet sales goals and generate repeat business Process sales transactions Maintain a clean, organized, and professional gallery environment Sweep floors, empty trash, dust displays, and assist with general gallery upkeep Upload artwork and maintain website listings Assist with inventory, shipping, and customer inquiries Perform other duties necessary to support gallery operations Qualifications Sales experience preferred but not required Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable initiating conversations with customers Self-motivated, dependable, and results-oriented Basic computer skills Willingness to perform all duties necessary to maintain a successful gallery operation What We're Looking For You enjoy meeting new people, building relationships, and helping customers make purchasing decisions. You are comfortable starting conversations, learning what customers are looking for, and guiding them toward a purchase. You understand that in a small business environment, everyone contributes to the success of the gallery. While sales are the primary focus of this position, maintaining a clean, welcoming, and professional environment is part of delivering an exceptional customer experience.
