$80,000 - $120,000 (based on experience) About Applied Climate Solutions (ACS) Applied Climate Solutions (ACS) is a leading HVAC manufacturer's representative and building automation solutions provider serving building owners, engineers, and contractors throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. ACS specializes in the technical sales and support of complex HVAC and building automation systems, including chillers, air handling units, rooftop units, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, commissioning services, and long-term service solutions. Our team partners closely with manufacturers and clients to deliver high-performance, energy-efficient solutions for commercial and industrial facilities. Position Summary The Inside Sales / Operations Representative provides critical pre-sales and project support to the sales team through equipment selection, estimating, proposal generation, and project coordination. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical aptitude, and a customer-focused mindset. The successful candidate will work closely with sales representatives, customers, contractors, engineers, and manufacturers to support projects from design through order entry while ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain complete project files throughout each job's lifecycle Support sales efforts through product selection, specification review, plan analysis, estimating, proposal preparation, value engineering, and system redesigns Read, interpret, and analyze construction drawings, plans, and specifications Demonstrate working knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment applications, and building automation solutions Select and size HVAC equipment using manufacturer selection software Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Communicate and follow up with building owners, architects, MEP engineers, general contractors, mechanical contractors, and electrical contractors Prepare accurate project documentation and information for order entry Manage submittals and Installation, Operation & Maintenance (IOM) manuals Coordinate warranty claims and replacement parts requests Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, engineers, and manufacturer partners Identify project requirements, constraints, and responsibilities to ensure successful system design and implementation Resolve customer concerns by investigating issues, coordinating corrective actions, and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred, but not required Mechanical contracting, HVAC, or related industry experience may be substituted for formal education Previous experience in HVAC equipment sales, estimating, project coordination, or operations is preferred Skills & Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy Customer-focused and team-oriented mindset Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HVAC factory selection software is a plus Compensation & Benefits ACS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Base salary ranging from $80,000 - $120,000 , depending on experience Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off (PTO) and company-paid holidays 401(k) retirement plan Opportunities for professional growth within a leading HVAC and building automation organization
