This role is focused on developing new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and increasing market penetration within the refining, petrochemical, chemical, terminal, and midstream sectors. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven hunter with an established network throughout the Houston industrial market. You have spent years building credibility with customers, understand how facilities operate, and know how to identify opportunities, navigate organizations, and turn relationships into revenue. This is not an entry-level sales role. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of business development, strong industry relationships, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a broader commercial team. Key Responsibilities Develop and grow customer relationships throughout the Houston market. Generate new business opportunities within refining, petrochemical, chemical, terminal, and midstream accounts. Leverage existing industry relationships to identify opportunities and accelerate market penetration. Conduct regular customer visits, facility visits, lunch-and-learns, and industry networking activities. Collaborate with operations, engineering, and commercial leadership to develop customer solutions and proposals. Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and customer engagement records within Salesforce. Support pricing, proposal development, contract negotiations, and customer account strategies. Represent Vapor Point at industry events, conferences, and customer functions. Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to leadership. Ideal Candidate 5-15 years of industrial sales or business development experience. Established relationships within the Houston refining, petrochemical, chemical, terminal, or midstream markets. Demonstrated ability to develop new business and expand existing customer relationships. Strong understanding of industrial services and project-based selling environments. Self-motivated, highly accountable, and capable of managing a territory with minimal oversight. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Experience utilizing CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. Must reside in the Houston area. What We're Looking For Existing industry relationships are the highest priority. Compensation Competitive base salary, commission plan, and benefits package based on experience and qualifications.
