Business Development Specialist in Lubbock, Texas (in-person marketing & sales)) for The Springboard Center Position Summary The Business Development Specialist in Lubbock, Texas for the Springboard Center, an alcohol and drug treatment center located in Midland, Texas, is responsible for developing, strengthening, and maintaining referral relationships throughout the medical, behavioral health, legal, social service, HR departments, and community sectors to support client admissions and community awareness of The Springboard Center's mission and services. This position serves as a professional ambassador of Springboard, promoting the organization's nationally recognized addiction treatment services through direct outreach, community engagement, healthcare networking, and public representation. Understanding addiction and recovery is a major plus! Essential Duties & Responsibilities Relationship Development & Referral Outreach
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual outreach to healthcare providers, hospitals, physicians, therapists, social workers, discharge planners, case managers, employee assistance programs (EAPs), attorneys, probation officers, first responders, and related professionals.
  • Educate referral sources and community stakeholders regarding Springboard's programs, treatment philosophy, admission processes, and outcomes.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities within medical, behavioral health, legal, corporate, and community sectors. Community Representation & Event Participation
  • Professionally represent The Springboard Center at community events, conferences, networking functions, health fairs, recovery events, and public awareness initiatives.
  • Assist with presentations, educational outreach, and community engagement efforts to increase visibility and strengthen community partnerships. Business Development & Strategic Growth
  • Maintain a regular schedule of external visits, relationship-building activities, and follow-up communications.
  • Collaborate with leadership and marketing staff to support strategic growth initiatives. Reporting & Accountability
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, referral contacts, meetings, and event participation.
  • Submit timely weekly accountability reports documenting: o Calls and visits completed o Referral contacts and follow-up activities o Events attended o Relationship development progress
  • Meet productivity expectations and outreach goals established by leadership. Professional Standards & Expectations
  • Maintain a professional appearance and dress appropriately for healthcare, business, and community settings.
  • Conduct oneself with professionalism, integrity, discretion, and strong ethical standards at all times.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Represent Springboard's mission, values, and reputation positively in all interactions.
  • Exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality consistent with HIPAA and organizational standards.
Qualifications Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in business development, healthcare outreach, admissions, behavioral health, substance use treatment, marketing, sales, or community relations preferred.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health systems, healthcare referrals, or community resources strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies
  • Strong public relations and networking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Comfortable with public speaking, relationship cultivation, and community engagement.
  • Proficient with basic reporting, email, and database/CRM documentation.
Work Environment This position requires regular travel for professional visits, networking, and community events. Evening or occasional weekend events may be required.
Reports To:
Director of Development & Marketing (or designated supervisor) Subject to Drug Screenings Must maintain a driver's license and insurance.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
