As an Outside Sales Representative you will manage a portfolio of industrial clients, delivering pumping, SCADA, and control system solutions that support critical operations. You will build relationships with production managers, automation engineers, and operations leaders, helping customers solve technical challenges while driving business growth through a combination of field-based sales and account management. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary focus will be calling on drilling rigs and/or E&P companies to service those accounts. Maximize financial results (revenues, margins, etc.). Improve customer service and satisfaction. Attain and exceed sales goals through increased market share, both existing and new business. Responsible for business development, including identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities. Own the territory and manage the complete sales cycle from cold calling and field visits to technical presentations and contract negotiation. Provide activity reports to manager. Strategic Relationship Management:
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients while identifying new opportunities within the industrial and energy sectors. Technical Consultation:
Act as a subject matter expert on H Pumps, VFDs, SCADA, and automation solutions, helping customers select the right equipment for their operational needs. Consultative Selling:
Conduct site walk-downs and collaborate with customers' engineering teams to understand their pain points and scope custom solutions. Automation Solutions:
Collaborate with our engineering team to meet our customer's challenging needs when it comes to controls, integration, and full package automation solutions. Market Analysis:
Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to position EdgeControls as the preferred vendor in the region. Other duties, as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent industry experience. Relevant business experience and product knowledge in drilling, oil and gas production. 1+ years of successful outside sales experience within the oil and gas industry. Strong understanding of SCADA platforms, PLCs, industrial communication protocols, VFDs, motor controls, and hydraulic systems. MS Office skills (Excel and Word) and SAP knowledge preferred. Strong oral and written communication, presentation, marketing, and negotiation skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business solutions for stakeholders at all levels. Self-motivated with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Comfortable working in remote field locations, production sites, and customer facilities. Ability to initiate and adapt to change and work effectively in both small and large teams. Maintain and enhance strong customer relationships. Detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must have a current, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Must be able to physically lift up to 40 lbs. Strong work ethic, integrity, and a positive, assertive attitude. BENEFITS
