Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers in selecting the right flooring products, answer their questions, and ensure a positive shopping experience and measuring their homes. This position does require regular out of office work to measure customer homes and follow up on installations. Transportation and driving around the city will be required. Duties Greet customers warmly and identify their flooring needs through active listening and consultation Present product options, including samples and displays, tailored to customer preferences Assist customers with retail math calculations to determine quantities, costs, and estimates Provide detailed information about product features, installation requirements, and maintenance tips Upsell complementary products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle payments efficiently Maintain organized displays and ensure the showroom is clean, inviting, and well-stocked Follow up with customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve overall store performance Qualifications Proven experience in retail sales or customer service roles, preferably within home improvement or flooring industries Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse customers Basic retail math skills for calculating estimates, discounts, and totals accurately Ability to effectively convey product information and answer customer inquiries confidently Friendly, approachable demeanor with a passion for helping customers find the right solutions Reliable work ethic with a professional attitude and strong attention to detail This position is ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment while providing outstanding service.
