We strive to identify and satisfy our customers' needs with our extensive hose and fitting knowledge, large hydraulic and industrial hose and fittings inventory, and hydraulic CNC tube bender. We pride ourselves on problem solving for our wide variety of customers, whether in the oilfield, construction, medical, manufacturing, military, or government. As a Counter Sales Specialist, you would be responsible for providing customer service at the counter by understanding Hose & Rubber's products and applications and processing customer orders at our store in Provo, UT. This is a full-time position with benefits. The Counter Sales Specialist duties include, but are not limited to: Greet and work with customers at the counter to identify and satisfy the customer's needs for a quote/order in a profitable and timely manner Receive phone calls and emails and work with the sales team and customers to identify and satisfy the customer's needs for quotes/orders in a profitable and timely manner For items the store does not carry, create a PO and send to vendor/other branch. Prepare and assemble customer orders. Package and ship customer orders per customer requirements Work with Field Sales Representatives to generate more business by providing referrals and following up for the results Ensure inventory accuracy by updating the system when issues are seen or working with the Warehouse to get issues resolved.

The job requires:

Written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on product knowledge Customer service skills Ability to lift up to 75lbs at a time Ability to perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment Attention to detail Basic computer and math skills Analytical and problem-solving skills

Level of Education and Work Experience:

Must be 18 years or older to operate crimper, forklift, shop machinery, etc. General education degree (GED), H.S. diploma, associate's, or bachelor's degree 1-2 years of industry specific experience preferred Understanding of Hose and Rubber's product portfolio and their application preferred

Compensation:

Hourly:

$21.00 - $35.00+ per hour (base of $21 per hour, plus monthly counter commission and quarterly EOI)

Schedule:
