This position is ideal for a sales professional with plumbing industry knowledge who enjoys helping customers bring their remodeling and new construction projects to life. As a Showroom Consultant, you will work directly with homeowners, builders, contractors, designers, and other industry professionals to recommend and sell plumbing fixtures, faucets, sinks, tubs, showers, accessories, and related products. Success in this role requires strong product knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage projects from initial consultation through final order placement. Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide a professional, consultative showroom experience. Assist homeowners, builders, contractors, and designers with product selection and specification. Develop a strong understanding of customer needs, project requirements, budgets, and timelines. Prepare quotes, sales orders, and product specifications accurately and efficiently. Follow up on quotations, open projects, and customer inquiries to maximize sales opportunities. Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and trade professionals. Coordinate with vendors, warehouse personnel, and internal teams to ensure accurate order processing and delivery. Maintain current knowledge of plumbing products, industry trends, and manufacturer offerings. Keep showroom displays organized, attractive, and up to date. Achieve individual sales goals and contribute to overall showroom success. Qualifications Required Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in a showroom, wholesale distribution, home improvement, or construction-related environment. Working knowledge of plumbing products and industry terminology. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Office, and order-entry software. Preferred Experience selling plumbing fixtures, decorative plumbing, kitchen and bath products, or related building materials. Experience working with builders, remodelers, contractors, architects, or interior designers.
