Full-Time | In-Person We're looking for a growth-focused marketer to help generate qualified inbound leads and build a predictable sales pipeline for our advertising company. The Customer Acquisition Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a consistent, high-volume pipeline of qualified leads for the sales team. This role uses the same tools, channels, and strategies we deliver to clients, applied to our own business, to drive inbound demand, generate opportunities, and lower the cost of acquiring new customers. You will also help position our local leadership as visible marketing authorities by developing and growing locally relevant content.
This role connects:

What You'll Own Pipeline Creation & Lead Generation Design and execute campaigns to generate inbound leads Use a mix of: paid media (social, search, display) owned media (website, email, podcast, radio) earned media (organic social, content distribution) Build and optimize funnels that move prospects from awareness to inquiry You are responsible for the volume and quality of opportunities entering the pipeline. Campaign Strategy & Execution Determine how to use available channels to drive demand Allocate budget across campaigns based on performance Launch, monitor, and improve campaigns continuously Work with internal teams to ensure campaigns are built and executed properly You don't rely on one channel—you build a system that works together. Performance Measurement & Optimization Track and improve: cost per lead (CPL) cost per acquisition (CPA) lead-to-opportunity conversion rates Use data to refine targeting, messaging, and channel mix Ensure campaigns improve over time through testing and iteration You make growth measurable and repeatable. Podcast & Thought Leadership Development Work with local leadership to develop a podcast focused on marketing, advertising, and business growth Plan content around: the most searched and asked questions by local business owners real challenges businesses face in your market Coordinate recording, publishing, and distribution Use the podcast to generate awareness, trust, and inbound leads You help turn local leaders into recognized voices in the market. Content Planning & Market Relevance Identify topics that are actively being searched by business owners Align content with real demand in the market Ensure all content supports lead generation and positioning Work with content and creative teams to produce assets You ensure what we create is relevant and useful—not generic. Alignment with Sales & Leadership Work closely with sales teams to understand lead quality Adjust campaigns based on feedback from the field Ensure a steady flow of qualified opportunities You connect marketing output to sales success. Hampton Roads Media Group, is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to support our sales team. This in person position in Chesapeake, VA is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, enjoys juggling multiple priorities, and wants to be part of a team that is passionate about marketing, client service, and growing revenue for local businesses.
Key responsibilities include:
Support Media Advisors, the Director of Sales, and the General Manager with a variety of administrative and sales support tasks Create sales proposals, media kits, and station promotion and sponsorship packages Create banners and graphics for clients and their campaigns Prepare proof-of-performance reports, billing reports, and other recurring sales reports Manage deal setup, contracts, reporting, and customer service for the deal platform Maintain sponsor availability and update sponsorship packages as inventory changes Keep sales materials and internal resources, including the Sales Intranet, current and organized Enter orders and production requests, and pull spot times for Media Advisors as needed Assist with onboarding & training by helping grant access to platforms and tools for new hires Provide support for backend sales systems and platforms such as House Accounts, VCreative, Marketron, Media Monitors, Miller Kaplan, and related tools Coordinate contests, promotions, and special sales initiatives, including package tracking and supporting annual promotional programs Handle creative support projects such as sales calendars, gift certificates, web statistics, thank-you letters, and web banner ads Coordinate details and logistics for various events like golf tournaments and company events, including prizes, trophies, registration, signage, expense & revenue reports Assist with setup and execution of weekly sales meetings, staff parties, outings, and other team events Train and serve as backup support for Traffic Director-related duties as needed
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat PDF is required. Additionally, experience with Canva or Adobe Photoshop, specifically as it pertains to digital advertising and creative is preferred.
