$80,000•130,000 Summary The Outside Sales Representative•HVAC & Plumbing is responsible for growing sales and increasing company profitability by cultivating current customer relationships and developing new business opportunities. This role combines technical expertise in both HVAC and plumbing products with strong relationship-building skills to drive revenue, improve customer satisfaction, and deliver value-added solutions in the wholesale distribution market. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Identifying and securing new customers while expanding relationships with existing accounts. Prepare and conduct sales presentations of HVAC and plumbing products, systems, and solutions. Proactively recommend add-on items, promotional products, and solutions to customers. Provide accurate quotations, pricing, and terms in alignment with company policies. Follow up on sales transactions to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly. Expand and strengthen the dealer network by identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new HVAC dealers while maintaining and supporting existing dealer relationships to maximize market coverage and profitability. Educate customers on HVAC and plumbing terminology, features, and benefits to support informed purchasing decisions. Offer technical support, including AHRI matchups, job site visits, and system recommendations. Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge and apply competitive market insights to help customers succeed. Integrate vendor and industry partners into sales opportunities to enhance customer solutions. Serve as the primary liaison between contractors and manufacturers, facilitating communication, providing product and technical support, and ensuring both parties' needs are met to drive successful project outcomes. Track customer needs, trends, and satisfaction levels to identify opportunities and challenges. Gather and report market intelligence, competitor activity, and pricing trends. Assist customers with marketing strategies and programs to grow their businesses. Use company systems and CRM tools to maintain accurate customer records, track sales activity, and plan future opportunities. Identify and develop new market opportunities by analyzing industry trends, monitoring competitor activity, and implementing strategies to expand the company's presence within the HVAC and plumbing sectors. Monitor shipment schedules and coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely product delivery. Communicate inventory and demand changes to internal teams. Accurately complete quotes, orders, returns, and special-order requests according to company policy. Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 2-3 years outside sales experience in wholesale distribution (HVAC, plumbing, or related industry). Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Basic technical knowledge of HVAC and plumbing products and applications. Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
