Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Intern to support our team with maintaining and enhancing our Project Opportunity Database. This role is ideal for someone interested in market research, data management, and business strategy. Must be located in the Herndon, VA area.

Internship dates:

June 1 - August 7, 2026. Key Responsibilities Update and maintain the Project Opportunity Database with accurate and up-to-date information Conduct research to identify new project opportunities, market trends, and potential clients Verify and enrich existing data through online research and internal coordination Assist in organizing and structuring business development data for easy access and reporting Support the team with ad hoc research, data entry, and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data management tools Strong research and analytical skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Preferred Skills (Optional) Familiarity with CRM systems or databases Interest in business development, sales, or market analysis What You'll Gain Hands-on experience in business development operations Exposure to real-world project tracking and market research Opportunity to contribute to strategic business initiatives Lane Construction offers a comprehensive benefits package with an excellent opportunity to grow and be part of one of the most respected names in the construction industry.
