For 43 years, U.S. Futaba, Inc. has specialized in wholesale importing of furniture hardware for the North American woodworking industry. U.S. Futaba, Inc. operates from our warehouses in Santa Ana, CA and Norfolk, VA. We develop products and programs with suppliers around the world for customers across North America. Our Opportunity This role will work as part of our sales team by performing roles to support business development. The Inside Sales Representative will work within our organization to support sales growth . They will participate in projects related to customer service, market research, product development, and internal reporting. The ideal candidate will be driven, consistent, eager to learn, and a team player. This role promotes autonomy and will provide an environment to foster the required skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
  • specifically with Excel, Outlook, Word, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Effective and comprehensive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service skills, including comfortability making and answering phone calls.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • punctual and proactive.
  • Ability to work well with other employees.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Based in Hampton Roads, Virginia Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience in a similar sales role.
  • Familiarity with the furniture hardware and woodworking industries.
  • Experience with Prophet 21 and Epicor Data Analytics.
  • Bilingual
  • English/Spanish Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Research, identify, convert, and maintain new prospective opportunities through market research, lead generation, cold-calling, emails, and scheduled meetings.
  • Build relationships with current customers by assisting with customer service, maintaining account information, forecasting usage, providing quotes, developing pricing, and increasing existing sales.
  • Communicate with and support outside sales and customer service staff by assisting with internal projects, developing new sales strategies, and implementing new sales channels.
  • Create, refine, and maintain regular and relevant sales reports.
  • Become familiar with U.S. Futaba, Inc's general catalog to promote products and educate customers.
  • Collaborate with vendors on new product development
  • Engage with our industry to stay up to date on market trends, new product opportunities, and competitors.
  • Represent U.S. Futaba, Inc. at industry trade shows and conferences, and customer events and meetings. Wages and Benefits
  • Full-time (40 hours/week) position, 8-5 M-F
