THE ROLE
While many of the day-to-day responsibilities will be familiar to an experienced automotive sales manager, success in this role requires a different mindset and approach. We are looking for a leader who can coach, develop, and inspire a sales team to thrive within our One Person, One Price business model and customer-first culture. A key responsibility of this position is helping team members embrace a consultative, transparent sales process that prioritizes trust, long-term relationships, and an exceptional guest experience. In addition to leading the sales team, this role will serve as a champion of our digital retailing and technology platforms. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, optimize, and maximize the effectiveness of these tools to drive sales growth, improve employee engagement, enhance customer satisfaction, and increase operational efficiency throughout the dealership. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, marketing, and continuous improvement. They will become a subject matter expert in our digital tools and platforms, leading the way in helping our sales team leverage these resources to better serve our guests and achieve exceptional results. Success in this role requires the ability to effectively train, coach, and motivate others to adopt new technologies and processes. You will be responsible for demonstrating how these tools can improve productivity, enhance the customer experience, streamline daily operations, and create more efficient and consistent outcomes for both employees and the dealership. RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, partnering with the sales team to maximize every sales opportunity and drive consistent performance. This role will be responsible for monitoring, coaching, and managing team members as they respond to inbound phone and internet leads, ensuring timely follow-up and exceptional customer engagement. The successful candidate will leverage a variety of digital sales and marketing tools to generate and convert business opportunities, including Automotive Mastermind, DriveCentric, the dealership website, AutoTrader, Cars.com, Auto Acquire AI, and other emerging technologies. A strong understanding of digital retailing, lead management, and customer acquisition strategies is essential to achieving sales objectives and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of automotive dealership sales and/or management experience, with a proven track record of achieving results and developing high-performing teams. Candidates must possess a comprehensive understanding of the automotive sales process, including lead generation, customer engagement, desking, negotiation, and follow-up strategies. This individual must be willing and able to become an expert in the dealership's digital retailing platforms and sales technologies. Success in this role requires the ability to effectively train, coach, and support the sales team in utilizing these tools to their fullest potential, maximizing customer engagement, operational efficiency, and sales performance.
