This position is responsible for safely transporting products to customer locations while providing exceptional customer service and sales support. This role ensures accurate and timely deliveries, assists customers with product information and order processing, and supports account growth through proactive communication and relationship building. The position works closely with customers, outside sales representatives, accounting, and management in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on delivering high-quality products and service. Key Responsibilities Delivery & Transportation Load, transport, and deliver products to customers and business locations safely and in a timely manner Operate company delivery vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and company policies Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules to ensure on-time service Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain the professional appearance of company vehicles Review orders before and after delivery to verify accuracy, confirm charges, and ensure customer satisfaction Prepare and maintain delivery documentation and related product paperwork Perform daily transfers between store locations Safely transport 20-foot and 40-foot containers as required Material Handling & Equipment Operation Safely load and secure delivery vehicles to ensure orders are accurate and protected during transport Accurately distribute and place materials as specified on pick tickets Physically handle materials during loading, unloading, and delivery Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely as needed Ensure delivered products are placed neatly and presented in an organized and professional manner Maintain site safety during deliveries and follow all company safety procedures Customer Service & Sales Provide excellent customer service by responding to questions and resolving customer concerns or complaints Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, pricing, availability, order placement, delivery scheduling, and installations Create sales tickets, quotes, and process customer orders Initiate telephone calls to customers to generate sales opportunities Grow existing accounts by introducing customers to new product offerings Gather information and actively listen to prospective and existing customers to understand their needs and identify solutions Maintain relationships with customer accounts assigned by management Collaborate with outside sales representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and order accuracy Sales Admiration & Operations Utilize company computer systems and databases, including Flyntlok, to verify customer information, pricing, and product availability Coordinate the purchase and delivery of special-order products, including researching pricing, specifications, uses, and availability Maintain stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom Operate and balance the cash register daily Research and process credits, returns, and late payments as needed Follow all standard operating procedures and company safety guidelines Professional Development & Team Collaboration Develop product knowledge and industry expertise through ongoing training and research Stay informed on marketplace trends, materials, and equipment Work collaboratively with inside sales staff, outside sales representatives, accounting, and management Perform other duties as assigned by location management Qualifications High school diploma or GED Valid CDL Class A driver's license required, HazMat endoresmet preferred Good driving record with no traffic violations Excellent organization and time management skills Must have various computer experience (Excel, Access, Word, Internet, PowerPoint) Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
