Job Description

The Sales Account Specialist candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing, business opportunities, building relationships with customers, and driving revenue growth. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of industrial market, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments at MFCP.
Primary Duties:
Expansion of assigned existing customers. Identify and research customer for business opportunities. Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers. Coordinate routes and schedules with branch manager. Add product categories and services to assigned customers. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities. Provide regular reports on business development activities and progress. Strive to consistently maximize profitability by utilizing programs, promotions, and product support materials. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for client. Qualify sales leads and project opportunities for technical sales teams and vendors. Prepare and deliver presentations to clients with appropriate teams. Develop professional/technical knowledge through relevant professional associations and complete product training courses over time. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Comply with all company rules, policies, and procedures. Adhere to strict Safety Guidelines. Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Inside/Outside Sales experience is preferred. Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to travel as needed. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, in accordance with company guidelines. Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required. Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Must be able to perform basic math functions, as well as understand and apply more complex calculations such as gross profit/gross margin and averages. Solid computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus. Experience with industrial distribution preferred. Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus. Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive. Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring, and climbing ladders as needed. Work environment may vary including warehouse containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements, office work, manufacturing, machine shops, agricultural operations, and any other specific business operations of current or potential customers.
