Description:
The Boat Sales Assistant supports the sales team with customer engagement, boat presentations, and daily sales operations while helping maintain the Lake Life retail showroom and outdoor display lot. This role offers hands-on exposure to the marine industry, blending sales, merchandising, and customer service experience.
Requirements:
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist sales representatives during customer visits, including boat walkthroughs, demonstrations, and dockside tours Learn and effectively communicate features, specifications, and differences across multiple boat brands and models Help manage the retail showroom at our locations on Lake Geneva Ensure displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing Maintain the outdoor boat display lot by staging boats, signage, and promotional materials to maximize curb appeal Prepare boats for demos and test rides, ensuring readiness, safety, and presentation standards are met Support marketing initiatives, including online listings, promotional content, and social media updates Assist with basic sales paperwork, customer follow-ups, and CRM updates Maintain a professional, welcoming environment across showroom, docks, and outdoor display areas What you will gain: Hands-on experience in sales, merchandising, and customer engagement In-depth knowledge of marine products and the boating lifestyle Exposure to pricing strategies, financing options, and sales negotiations Retail showroom and inventory presentation experience Networking opportunities within the boating and marina industry

Interest in boating, marine products, retail, or outdoor recreation Friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining visual standards Willingness to learn and take initiative in a team environment Prior boating, retail, or sales experience is a plus, but not require
Schedule Requirements and Physical Demands:
Able to work an average of 40-50 hours per week. Able to work a variety of shifts, which include weekends, nights, days, and holidays. Able to walk and stand on your feet 8 to 10 hours at a time. Able to walk on tile, carpet, and up and down stairs. Able to safely, responsibly and competently operate all vehicles and equipment related to Production.
REQUIREMENTS A
