Job Description

Community Outreach & Business Development Representative (Union Families) Vanguard Labs LLC
  • 4.0 Milwaukee, WI Job Details Full-time | Contract $24,000
  • $36,000 a year 9 hours ago Benefits Employee assistance program Union benefits Qualifications Spanish Customer communication Business development Driver's License Recruiting Adult education Full Job Description Shift Support Network is a behavioral health organization helping working families get real access to mental health and substance use care.
We work closely with union health and welfare funds whose members and families have strong outpatient benefits that often go unused simply because nobody told them how to use them. Our job is to change that, the right way: education, awareness, and benefits navigation for the household. The role We are hiring a Community Outreach and Business Development Representative based in the Milwaukee metro to build awareness of behavioral health benefits among union member families, with a focus on the people who usually make the household's health decisions: spouses and partners. This is a relationship and education role, not a sales-floor role. You will be the friendly, trusted face who shows families what their plan already covers and how to take the first step. What you will do
  • Build relationships with union locals, health and welfare fund staff, benefits coordinators, and Employee Assistance Program contacts across the Milwaukee area
  • Represent Shift at union family events, picnics, golf outings, benefits fairs, labor council programming, and other adult community settings
  • Educate member families, especially spouses and partners, on the behavioral health benefits available to them and how to access care
  • Develop and maintain referral and education relationships with clinicians, benefits advocates, and community partners
  • Track outreach activity (meetings booked, presentations delivered, partnerships opened) and report weekly
  • Coordinate warm introductions to our clinical intake team while never handling individual benefit verification or clinical intake yourself What you will not do This role is built on a bright compliance line, and we protect it.
You will not solicit or sign up specific individuals at events, you will not target minors, and your pay is never tied to how many people enroll or to revenue. You educate families and open doors; the clinical team handles care. What we are looking for
  • 2+ years in community outreach, business development, union or benefits work, member services, recruiting, or a related relationship-driven role
  • Strong ties to or comfort within the Milwaukee labor, trucking/CDL, or trades community is a major plus
  • Excellent in-person communication; genuinely good with people and trusted quickly
  • Organized, self-directed, and reliable at tracking and reporting your own activity
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for events (some evenings and weekends)
  • Lived experience with recovery or behavioral health, or family experience with it, is valued but not required
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
