Job Description

Job Summary The Replacement Engine Representative is responsible for effectively communicating with current and prospective customers who need their current engine repowered. Ultimately, a successful Replacement Engine Representative collaborates with the sales team to achieve goals while prioritizing customer satisfaction to ensure they stay engaged and loyal to our products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complains to maximize satisfaction Obtain relevant knowledge regarding current and emerging industry applications to optimize sales with both new and existing customers Formulate plans to convert opportunities into profitable sales; quantify and prioritize these opportunities Identify pertinent influencing contacts within the account Determine procurement sequence from specification to order placement Prepare and submit quotations to customers employing competitive pricing strategies Research and recommend strategies for pricing levels, discount structures, rebates, and extended warranty practices Monitor account profitability and initiate, recommend, or participate in efforts to improve margins while maintaining share Participate wholly and willingly in planning, strategy, and team development Recommend and implement actions for continuous process improvement Participate in forecasting and account/market strategy planning in conjunction with colleagues and departments within Superior Diesel, Inc. Regularly enter and update customer contact, opportunity, and activity information within CRM database Secure and place orders while being mindful of delivery dates and inventory levels for fulfillment Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have strong telephone communication skills and etiquette Must be able to work well with others and assist the public cooperatively and courteously Must be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed Must be able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption Must be able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Must have knowledge of English, including proper use of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style Must be proficient in arithmetic and competently apply it in an office environment Must demonstrate competency with computers and be proficient in Microsoft Excel Must be able to operate standard office machines Must be able to work independently and carry out assignments to completion with minimum instruction and adhere to established routines and practices Must have an excellent work ethic and superior attendance Education and Experience Required Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing At least two years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment is preferred Replacement Engine Representative Expectations As a Replacement Engine Representative, you are expected to perform the responsibilities of this position in an efficient, accurate and courteous manner while dealing with frequent interruptions. Your attendance and willingness to take responsibility for your contributions are crucial to the company's success.
