Horizon Retail Construction is a nationally recognized general contractor specializing in tenant improvement. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and driven Business Development Associate to join the team at our corporate headquarters in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. At Horizon we take pride in delivering quality projects, building strong relationships, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in retail construction, tenant improvement, and remodel programs that fit Horizon's core client criteria Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, brokers, and industry stakeholders Responsible for identifying tenant improvement opportunities, developing and maintaining long-term partnerships and representing Horizon Retail Construction with professionalism Lead sales efforts from initial prospecting through onboarding Collaborate with preconstruction and operations teams to verify client requirements Represent Horizon Retail Construction at industry events and networking functions with sales team Track and report sales activity, pipeline development, and prospects Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within tenant improvement, and national rollouts to support Horizon's growth initiatives Support long-term account management and repeat client engagement strategies
Summary of Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communication, or equivalent Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication skills Great listening and problem-solving skills Strong leadership skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment A highly motivated, self-starter Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events
