Job Description
About the Role Kismet Fine Rugs is looking for a high-energy, proven Salesperson who excels at both showroom excellence and proactive business development. While we welcome gallery visitors, the core of this role involves active outreach —identifying and cultivating professional partnerships that drive high-volume conversions. We are looking for a "hunter" who can navigate the world of high-end design and hospitality to position Kismet as the premier rug provider for large-scale projects and curated spaces.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Outreach:
Proactively identify and reach out to interior design firms, architecture firms, and luxury furniture stores to establish Kismet as their primary trade partner. B2B Conversions:
Develop and manage a pipeline of professional leads, including hotels, developers, and corporate entities , turning cold outreach into long-term accounts.Relationship Management:
Act as a dedicated liaison for trade professionals, providing them with the specifications, sourcing, and white-glove service required for their projects.Showroom Excellence:
Provide an articulate and personable experience for high-net-worth private clients.Physical Showmanship:
Assist in the physical movement of inventory ( lifting up to 50 lbs ) to effectively demonstrate pieces during client presentations and "on-approval" viewings.Requirements Proven Sales Track Record:
Minimum of 2 years of sales experience. Experience in "outside sales" or trade-focused luxury retail is highly preferred. The "Connector"Personality:
You must be personable, articulate, and comfortable initiating contact with busy professionals to build a network from the ground up.Goal-Oriented:
A self-starter who is motivated by conversion metrics and the successful closing of high-ticket contracts.Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift and move rugs weighing up to 50 pounds to facilitate displays and client viewings. Preferred Qualifications Established contacts within the local design, architecture, or hospitality communities. Background in luxury goods, fine art, or high-end home furnishings.To Apply:
