SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for overseeing and leading the activities of the Sales team including managing merchandisers and reset teams and maintaining a high level of in-store execution.
SCHEDULE
Monday
- Friday, some weekends as needed
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides leadership to the sales team. Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure quotas are met. Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets. Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts. Assigns territories and sets quotas for sales teams. Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs. Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations. Collaborates with sales leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises sales and merchandiser employees within the sales department Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills required:
Accounting Software (QuickBooks); Internet Software; Payroll Systems; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Order Processing Systems; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint); Other skills required : At least three years of sales experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
