Job description:
The Sales Support Supervisor serves as the conductor for the external sales department, prioritizing workflows with a revenue-first mindset. This is an advanced role, responsible for directing a multi-member sales support team, ensuring that tasks are delegated effectively to meet production goals while providing high-level support and performance coaching to our Outside Sales Force.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Department Leadership and Prioritization:
Act as the primary conductor of the Sales Support team, directing daily workflows for all Sales Support team members Prioritize sales contracts and departmental tasks and customer files based on revenue potential and strategic importance Ensure deadlines and production targets are met by redistributing workloads and resources in real time Provide regular feedback and ongoing coaching to the Sales Support team to improve accuracy and sales efficiency
Outside Sales Force Support:
Provide expert-level support to the Outside Sales Force team, assisting with high-stakes sales contract structures and developing enterprise-level business solutions Identify performance gaps within the outside sales force and implement training or strategic initiatives to increase their success rates Serve as the final point of escalation for outside sales force on complex contract negotiations and pricing strategies Collaborate with sales leadership to align Sales Support team efforts with broader company revenue goals
Revenue and Growth Strategy:
Manage the sales pipeline to identify and eliminate bottlenecks and implement improvements to accelerate account activations Develop and refine pricing strategies and sales initiatives that drive department production Oversee the most complex, high-revenue accounts, ensuring white-glove service, flawless activation and long-term retention Analyze department data and reports to provide the Sales Executive Team with insights on production trends and revenue forecasts
Operational Oversight:
Provide final review of complex customer quotes and contract structures Oversee the accuracy of department logs, reporting, and CRM data Manage high-level vendors and partner relationships to ensure smooth transactions
Beneficial Experience:
5+ years in outside sales, sales management, or a senior relationship management role. Proven experience managing a multi-person team in a high-volume environment. Advanced understanding of customer pricing, revenue models, and contract negotiation Strong leadership ability with a focus on prioritizing tasks based on financial impact Advanced experience with Salesforce, DocuSign, Zoom, Microsoft Excel, etc Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate both the internal team and the external teams
