Construction Admin Ultimate Staffing Services•3.8 Elgin, IL Job Details Full-time | Contract $20•$24 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications Customer communication Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Full Job Description Position Overview Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a Temporary Construction Administrative Assistant to join their client's team in Elgin, Illinois. This short-term role is ideal for individuals with strong administrative and customer service skills, particularly those with experience in the construction or parts-related industries . The position will cover a team member's medical leave and focus on supporting parts sales coordination and customer service inquiries. Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls and respond to general inquiries with moderate call volume. Monitor and respond to emails promptly. Process parts sales orders from start to finish. Communicate with manufacturers to identify required parts and obtain pricing and availability. Prepare and send quotes to customers. Enter and process orders using Great Plains (GP). Track and follow up on orders to ensure accurate fulfillment. Coordinate with the internal sales team for support and guidance. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in customer service, order processing, and administrative support. Experience in parts sales, distribution, construction office, or similar industry preferred. Strong data entry and organizational skills. Comfortable communicating with vendors, customers, and internal teams. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) required. Experience with Great Plains (GP) is a plus, but not required. Soft Skills Friendly, personable, and customer-focused with a "bubbly" personality preferred. Easygoing team player with a strong work ethic. Resourceful and willing to ask questions to get the job done. Detail-oriented and dependable. Ability to work independently with a "figure-it-out" mentality. Work Environment In-office role with support from a collaborative team. Two additional team members onsite daily. Casual to business casual dress environment. Training and support available, including access to team members during the coverage period. Work Hours Monday•Friday, 8:30 AM•4:30 PM (30-minute lunch) Benefits Medical, dental, vision, pharmacy
Compensation Salary:
$20•$23 per hour depending on experience. Additional Details Short-term assignment with a defined timeline of 6-8 weeks, starting the week of July 6 or July 13. Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in parts sales and order processing. Flexible, approachable leadership and training support.
