Job Description

Job Summary:
The Territory Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Route Sales/Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Reps within their newly developed assigned territory. This position seeks a proactive and results-driven individual who can effectively lead and manage the sales team. The supervisor will play a crucial role in inspiring and motivating team members to enhance overall sales performance. An effective candidate will be skilled in strategizing and implementing sales initiatives, fostering strong client relationships, and achieving outstanding sales results.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
 Hire and train DSD/Sales Representatives.  Coach, mentor, and lead Sales Representatives.  Handles discipline and termination of employees in Sales Department in accordance with company policies and procedures.  Reports directly to the Sales Team Manager and collaborates with them on various tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
 Provide leadership to sales team.  Motivate and encourage sales team.  Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.  Assist sales team with resets during reset season.  Manage assigned warehouse to include unloading delivery truck and stowing product.  Cover sales routes in case of sales representative's absence.  Communicate and build relationships with suppliers.  Collaborate with leadership to develop sales expectations and strategies.  Assist in corporate and regional sales meetings.  Responsible for keeping assigned warehouse properly stocked with inventory for route sales representatives.  Receiving deliveries at assigned warehouse(s).  Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
 Merchandising knowledge and skilled at training staff on merchandising.  Direct Store Delivery (DSD)/Route Sales experience is mandatory.  Strong supervisory and leadership skills.  Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, able to multi-task.  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  Forklift certified.  Able to comfortably drive a medium duty box truck, approximately 20 feet in length.  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
Education and Experience:
Minimum:
4 years of experience in DSD/Route Sales. 
Preferred:
3-5 years of supervisory experience.
Physical Requirements:
 Able to safely get in and out of box trucks and vans with and without product.  Working in non-climate-controlled box trucks in all weather conditions.  Able to unload delivery trucks and stow product appropriately in the warehouse.  Prolonged hours of driving.  Must be able to load product onto work vehicle without assistance.  Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds at times.
Area/Living Requirements:
Preferred:
Relocation to near and around the center of the territory. 
Required:
Traveling long distances and frequently staying overnight. []

Outer Banks, NC to Hamptons, NY.
