Responsible for the promotion and sale of Dobson Fiber products and services to residential customers. This role provides day-to-day field leadership and coaching combined with individual contribution of sales to single family units and sales to multiple dwelling units through Dobson fiber's relationships with property management.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development Assist in Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 8-12 direct sales representatives Conduct regular ride-alongs to provide in-field coaching and skill development Support onboarding and ramp-up of new hires to accelerate productivity Foster a high-performance, accountable, and positive team culture Sales Performance Management Help re-enforce team achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets Monitor individual and team performance metrics (activity, conversion rates, sales volume) Help address performance gaps New Hire Training and Rep Development & Sales Responsibilities Assist with structured onboarding for all new hires, including classroom, field training, and certification milestones Help new representatives achieve productivity benchmarks within defined ramp timelines Conduct regular 30/60/90-day check-ins to assess progress and address development needs Partner with Manager to deliver company-provided curriculum and reinforce key sales skills in the field Assist on individualized coaching plans based on performance data, skill gaps, and career goals Utilize ride-alongs, side-by-side coaching, and real-time feedback to continuously improve rep effectiveness Reinforce product knowledge, sales messaging, and competitive positioning through ongoing training sessions Acquires new residential customers through door-to-door contact from assigned leads. Utilizes advanced knowledge of Dobson's products and services as well as sales process experience to maximize sales and effectively work assigned territories. Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of Dobson Fiber's products, promoting and selling offerings to individual customers by visiting every home within assigned territory. Displays thorough and recent competitive knowledge of features, benefits, product differences, and pricing of residential home internet. Effectively communicates and develops rapport with customers. Evaluates individual customers' existing and potential product needs and makes recommendations. Increases customer understanding of Dobson Fiber's service and pricing as well as competitive advantages over other service providers. Develops and presents sales presentations/proposals on products and services that meet customers' needs. Performs other duties as requested
Minimum Qualifications and Essential Functions:
2-5 years of experience in direct sales (door-to-door, preferred) High school diploma or equivalent Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivator with a knack for working independently. Proficient computer and technical skills, that help support the best customer solutions. Reliable personal vehicle (where applicable), valid driver license, car insurance, and a satisfactory driving record. Must meet the physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to, the ability to walk and/or travel door-to-door for considerable distances in all types of weather conditions Ability to work full time. A willingness to work outside in various weather conditions Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary. Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications as well as consumer and commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, set-top converters, and wireless devices). Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
