Mission of Skylark:
To make disciples of Jesus by partnering with local churches and operating excellent, gospel-integrated camps. The Summer Leadership Team plays a key role in fulfilling this mission by supporting camp operations, ensuring program excellence, caring for campers, and shaping a positive, Christ-centered culture for both staff and families. Who We're Hiring We're looking for gospel-minded, high-capacity leaders who thrive in dynamic environments and care deeply about creating excellent experiences for campers, families, and staff. Summer Leadership team members must be: Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage schedules, logistics, and moving pieces without missing the small things Committed to daily operational excellence, ensuring camp runs smoothly, safely, and consistently every single day Strong communicators who can interact confidently and warmly with parents, church staff, and summer staff Steady, reliable leaders with strong instincts for problem-solving and decision-making Encouraging and supportive, helping maintain a Christ-centered, healthy team culture Adaptable and proactive, able to adjust plans quickly and lead through fast-paced camp moments Energetic, joyful, and passionate about helping kids experience the love of Jesus If you love leading teams, managing details, and building relationships with staff and parents alike, you'll thrive on our Summer Leadership Team. Where We Are Cottonwood Creek Church — 1015 Sam Rayburn Tollway, Allen, TX 75013 The Heights Richardson — 201 W Renner Rd, Richardson, TX 75080 Church at the Creek — 8001 Co Rd 125, McKinney, TX 75071 What You'll Do Support Spiritual Outcomes Help create a camp environment where the Gospel is reflected in attitudes, actions, and interactions Encourage staff and campers through Christ-centered leadership, modeling, and presence Support program elements—such as Bible Study, Rally, and key camp moments—that point campers toward Jesus Reinforce the spiritual goals and rhythms set by the Camp Director Lead & Support Summer Staff Serve as a steady, approachable presence who supports staff through challenges and celebrates wins Help maintain a healthy, fun, Christ-centered team culture Step in to support staff across camp roles and responsibilities as needed Ensure Program Excellence Help run daily camp programming—rallies, activity classes, skits, games, transitions—with consistency and excellence Maintain weekly programming tools such as activity grids, monitoring grids, and schedules Assist in refining program elements to ensure they are fun, safe, and developmentally appropriate Monitor camper engagement throughout the day and step in where needed to elevate the camper experience Support the set-up and tear-down of program materials and spaces Support Camp Operations & Administration Oversee camp logistics such as check-in, check-out, equipment readiness, communication systems, and evaluations Interact warmly and professionally with parents, ensuring a high-quality family experience Complete administrative tasks, including answering camp phones and email, reporting, supply ordering, printing, and organization Support daily operations by anticipating needs and addressing issues promptly Lead Programming & Curriculum Elements Prepare weekly programming tools to ensure a cohesive, well-executed experience Plan weekly skits, themes, and rally components Support or assign Bible Study teaching schedules Teach or support Bible Study from the stage when assigned Oversee activity classes to ensure safety, engagement, and strong execution from staff Apply Today!
