Lead Generation Average Income:
$80,000-$100,000 | No Sales Experience Required This entry-level position is a paid lead generation role designed to get you into the field fast. You'll learn our process, meet homeowners, and build the foundation to advance into the Solar Consultant II sales role — typically within a short timeframe for motivated individuals. Generate qualified leads for our sales team Engage homeowners about solar savings and NYSERDA program benefits Develop product knowledge and sales skills with full training provided Clear path to Solar Consultant II for those who demonstrate drive and aptitude

Self-Generation Sales Average Income:
$100,000-$200,000 | Sales Experience Required Solar Consultant II is a self-generation sales role for those with proven sales experience who are ready to build and manage their own pipeline. You will prospect, run in-home consultations, and close deals with homeowners interested in going solar. Prospect and self-generate your own client pipeline Run in-home consultations to educate homeowners on solar savings Close sales and guide customers through the installation process Leverage NYSERDA incentives and no-money-down options as key selling points
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of sales experience OR 1 year of in-home sales experience Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals Ability to self-motivate, self-manage, and generate leads independently Strong rapport-building and closing skills Tech-savvy; comfortable with CRM and digital tools Reliable transportation; ability to work various shifts including evenings Solar Consultant III — Senior Sales |
Company-Provided Leads On-Target Earnings:
$150,000-$300,000 | Experienced Sales Professionals Only Solar Consultant III is our highest tier, designed for experienced sales professionals who want to focus on closing — not prospecting. Company-generated appointments are provided so you can maximize your time in front of qualified homeowners. Run company-provided, pre-qualified in-home appointments Convert homeowner consultations into solar installations Represent Happy Solar and NYS Essential Power as a trusted energy advisor Mentor and support junior consultants as desired
Qualifications:
