Job:
The Merchant Coordinator is an entry-level role focused on supporting the merchandising team and assisting with various tasks in the buying process. This role involves a mix of administrative duties, data management, and coordination between different departments. It provides foundational exposure to retail merchandising and buying operations. The Merchant Coordinator provides essential support to the buying team by handling administrative tasks, ensuring efficient communication across departments, and assisting with product data management and inventory. A day in the life, what you'll be doing: Manage schedules, prepare reports, and organize meetings for the buying team Assist in coordinating team activities and product sample handling Input product data into inventory systems, ensuring accuracy in descriptions, pricing, and stock levels Help manage the flow of product data between the buying team and other departments Assist with routine communications to suppliers, such as confirming order details, scheduling shipments, and tracking deliveries Help monitor stock levels and assist in inventory audits Ensure product data is up to date in internal systems Perform basic market research and compile information on competitor offerings and product trends, providing initial insights to the team Work closely with other departments such as marketing logistics, and finance to ensure smooth operations within the buying process Act as a liaison between the buying team and other stakeholders Provide support in managing product orders and replenishment, ensuring that inventory levels are adequate for sales forecasts What it takes to

Entry-level position, typically suited for individuals with minimal experience in retail or merchandising. 0 - 2 years' experience preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Strong attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with inventory management systems preferred
Salary Range :
($55,000- $56,031)

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting. Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions. Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building. Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
