This position supports the Produce Manager by leading team members, maintaining merchandising standards, reducing shrink, and helping drive sales. Key Responsibilities Ensure produce displays are fully stocked, clean, organized, and visually appealing Monitor product quality and remove damaged or expired items promptly Maintain proper rotation procedures using FIFO (First In, First Out) Assist with ordering, inventory control, and minimizing shrink/loss Receive and organize deliveries accurately and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all produce areas, coolers, prep spaces, and sales floor Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with questions or product requests Ensure compliance with food safety, company policies, and workplace safety standards Help execute promotions, seasonal displays, and merchandising plans Communicate department needs, staffing concerns, and operational issues to management Qualifications Previous grocery or produce experience preferred Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of fresh produce handling and rotation practices Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays Skills & Expectations Strong attention to detail Ability to lead by example Positive attitude and teamwork mentality Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently Commitment to cleanliness, freshness, and customer satisfaction Physical Requirements Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and standing Ability to work in refrigerated environments Ability to safely operate pallet jacks, carts, and produce equipment Reports To Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager / Produce Manager Expected Performance Standards Maintain department cleanliness and organization daily Ensure high-quality product presentation at all times Minimize shrink through proper rotation and date checks Keep shelves full and displays properly merchandised Support a productive, positive, and efficient work environment
