It requires working day and night shifts. Must have strong computer skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to Take Excellent Care of Our Customers and meeting or exceeding expectations and requirements of DeCA. This requires a defined level of management experience. The manager will be responsible for all functions of receiving/preparation and stocking of merchandise and custodial operations to the company standards.
  • Supervision of work force of about 20 employees
  • Recruit, interview, hire personnel, and administer employee corrective actions as necessary
  • Create daily/weekly/monthly work schedules
  • Assist in developing standards or performance for employees
  • Assist in the responsibility for insuring that all daily and periodic shelf-stocking tasks are completed as scheduled, and according to specified quality standards and within budget limits
  • Monitors the use of supplies and equipment, request additional supplies as needed
  • Ensures all equipment is functioning and general maintenance is completed.
  • Trains program participants/employees in orientation to the building, proper work techniques, and schedules, usage and conservation of supplies, operation of equipment and safety practices
  • Participates in the daily communication with Commissary personnel to ascertain problems/concerns, reach decisions regarding appropriate solutions, maintains a high level of satisfaction in terms of quality service and effective communication at the facility
  • Ensures payroll reports are completed
  • Ensures daily/weekly/monthly productivity reports are completed
  • Ensure any administrative functions are carried out in accordance with Company policies.
  • Ensure established operating policies/procedures are reviewed and remain current.
  • Establish alternate operational plans for an emergency commissary schedule, bulk deliveries and/or any unanticipated facility incident effecting normal commissary operations.
  • Preform other duties as directed by your supervisor.
Qualifications:

Applicants are required to have a minimum of 5 years' experience in successfully managing 20 or more individuals. Military experience is considered to be a plus. All Applicants must have exceptional interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training. Be able to manage an operation of approximately 20 strong employees. Must have superior Management skills and be able to lead a successful team in the completion of all functions on a daily basis. All Applicants must have the ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos (in English). Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to perform all computer functions and emails. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detail but involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to complete Company's training including but not limited to: contract requirements, new hire orientation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge.
