About Pizza Port Brewing Company… Back in March of 1987 Gina and Vince Marsaglia, a pair of siblings in their 20's, bought a struggling pizza place in the sleepy coastal town of Solana Beach, just north of San Diego. From a funky storefront on the famous Pacific Coast Highway the duo ran the "Pizza Port" with a classic menu of pizza and chicken wings to which they added their own "San Diego" twist. Early on, free space in the restaurant area was used to dabble in "home" brewing. Eventually, we were brewing more than could reasonably be consumed at "home". So, we transitioned into the brewpub business. Pizza Port Brewing Company was born when the Pizza Port location offered its first craft-brewed beers to patrons in 1992. We have since expanded to six brewpub locations winning multiple medals/awards from the Great American Beer Festival. Our Pizza Port locations are known for simple hand-built picnic tables and a hodge-podge décor of surf-related paraphernalia almost at odds with the sophisticated flavors of our food. Currently hiring for Full Time Prep Cook/Stocker Job Summary - A Stocker/Food Prep Cook is responsible for prepping the kitchen for the day to meet all pars before the next delivery date to ensure that we NEVER run out of product in order to make Pizza Port Brewing Company the first choice for enjoying craft beer and amazing pizza all while having too much FUN. In order to achieve this goal, the Stocker is expected to know how to safely operate and use all prep equipment (shredder, oven, food processor, spinner, can opener, etc.) and all utensils and knives, have thorough knowledge of all recipes used for prepping the kitchen, and how to prepare and work in the kitchen keeping in compliance with food safety guidelines/rules.

Essential Job duties/responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, safe and positive work environment
• Prepare kitchen for the day in all food items
• Cleaning/Cutting/Preparing vegetables
• Shredding cheese
• Making sauces
• Stocking up the make tables and walk-in with prepped product according to par list Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Attention to details
• Ability to follow recipes and directions
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a quick paced pizza kitchen
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively Other Considerations While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally.

Will occasionally have to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
