Avila Beach Drive San Luis Obispo, CA 93405 Seasonal Produce Stocker Position Job Description Avila Valley Barn is now taking applications for multiple seasonal positions stocking our amazing produce within our main fruit stand. This is a great opportunity to spend your summer and fall enjoying all of the seasons at our farm. No experience is necessary. 4 - 8 hour shifts between the hours of 6:30am and 6:30pm. Must be available to work holidays and weekends. We employ request-off blackout dates on major holidays due to the large volume of customers during those times.

Job Requirements:

Must be able to repeatedly lift approximately 50 lbs or less. Must have a positive attitude, be self-driven, responsible, and capable of multitasking and problem-solving. Willingness to learn and grow. Ability to work well within a team environment. Communicate respectfully and effectively. Must be able to enjoy working in a fast paced environment Must be physically able and enjoy being on your feet for extended periods. Reliable transportation is required. Must have an outgoing, positive attitude with a self-driven approach. Friendly personality with a genuine willingness to assist customers. Must be able to maintain composure and professionalism during high-pressure situations Must have consistent and punctual attendance to scheduled shifts

Job Duties:

Welcoming and providing an uplifting and positive experience for each customer Assist customers with knowledge of our products and offerings Sampling fruit to customers Tracking, pricing and maintaining inventory, rotating inventory for freshness and quality Receiving weekly produce orders and organizing into cooler storage. Sorting produce on displays and restocking with fresh produce Packaging fruits and vegetables Washing eggs and placing in cartons Assisting with pest control measures as we are an open exposed space Receive training in health and safety standards to be maintained at all times. Watering plants Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks
