Job Description
Mariposa Market is looking for an experienced Grocery Stocker Clerk MINIMUM of 2 years experience ~
MUST BE AVAILABLE MORNINGS, EVENINGS, AND WEEKENDS
~Job Title:
Grocery Clerk/Stocker Summary:
Inventories, orders, prices, stocks and restocks merchandise by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned)- Rotates merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished and checking expiration dates
- Orders from supplier based on available space, merchandise on hand, customer demand, advertised specials and budget.
- Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received.
- Stocks items throughout the store
- Face and front the store
- Provide excellent customer service
- Clean and maintain cleanliness of department and backstock area.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.- Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly
- Stay on task
- Basic math
- Read/write English
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills Education and/or
Experience:
- Minimum high school education; and at least 2 years stocking experience in a retail environment.

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
